Carolina
I was born in 1983 and has lived with dogs my whole life, mostly Golden
Retrievers but also and Afghan Hound. I decided early that I would have a Golden
but this all changed in 2004 when I was 20 and met some Salukis for the first
time. It was a very emotional moment for me and it will have a special place in
my heart forever. Shortly after this I got my first Saluki, Shaamroc Silver
Shadow "Muscot" and later his cousin Shirin Roya Zaxire "Timjan" moved in. I
have a huge interest in the breed which takes a lot of my time. I live in
Norberg with my boyfriend Peter.
Benita
I was born in 1962 and got my first dog in 1982, a Golden Retriever
named "Bobby". After him I've had two more Goldens, "Wilma" who passed away a
couple of years ago and "Zally" who is now 8 years old. I've also had an Afghan
Hound, "Wiktor". I fell in love with the Saluki at a dogshow in 2004. In 2005 I
got my first Saluki Al Khabaraa Darrah "Darrah" who we imported from Estonia.
One year later Badavie Irresistible Girl "Jessie" moved in. I also have a very
big interest for the breed but leaves the showing to my daughters. I have four
children, Carolina 26, Emma 24, Frida 19 and William 7. I live in Fagersta with
the two youngest ones.
In general..
Our dogs are first and foremost beloved familymembers but we also like to show
them, and occassionally go to lurecoursing and trackracing. We feel that
breeding ourselves is a very natural development of our big interest in Salukis.
Our goal is to breed elegant but still moderate Salukis with good temperament in a very small scale. We are very much looking forward
to our first litter in the end of 2009!
